Reduction lino cut method

One lino block is used to create a multi coloured image. Parts of the lino are carved away and a colour printed. Further areas are then carved away and another colour printed and so on, building up layers of colour.

The lino block is destroyed in the process, making the edition limited and unrepeatable. The process is time consuming, each piece of work is printed using oil based inks and Somerset paper and is unique as no two prints are quite the same
